February 9, 2011 – February 1, 2025
I have known you since you were 2 days old and I loved you more than life little Bunny.
How does one encapsulate a life so large in just a few paragraphs?
I can’t imagine another Habbit. He challenged my very being. He almost succumbed to bloat at 2 but went onto be an amazing bite-sport dog. He lived only to bite the decoy; his eyes would shine and his brain would dissolve. Everyone knew when Habbit-Bark-A-Lot was on the field.
I struggled whether to show Habbit at his prime or Habbit now. It’s so hard to see a strong dog decline in old age. I wish my strong dogs to be forever strong.
May you pass over the Bridge and have infinite biting and knocking down decoys forever.
Habbit- You are a once in a lifetime.

Zeppelin earned his first leg of MR2 over the weekend at Synergy Ringsport Mondioring Trial – New Year – with a score of 266, securing himself a 3rd place finish
I owe this success in its entirety to Zack Kiser & Amy Kiser, they have single-handedly revived my passion for mondioring by showing me what true support and genuine teamwork looks like. It was an honor to compete next to so many talented teams. Thank you both for welcoming me into the Oceanside Mondioring Club.
Thank you SO much to the Judge, field help, hosting club, and especially decoys. This was a tricky and exciting weekend- we haven’t had this much fun in a while!
Special shoutout to Jessica Valentine. You are a hell of an inspiration.

Quartermaster George “Georgie” is now retired from his working career. Georgie was a FEMA Type 1 Human Remains Detection Dog with California Task Force 3. Georgie was deployed to national disasters such as the Camp Fire, Montecito mudslides, and hurricanes on the east coast. He was also deployed locally many times to search for victims of fires or other incidents.

Wrapping up an incredible weekend at the NorCal US&R disaster training. Nearly 100 canine search teams from the US&R and wilderness worlds came together at three sites to prepare for the next disaster. We had a special guest Chief Schapelhouman on Sunday for an impromptu history lesson. Thanks to the canine teams of @ca_tf3, @oaklandusar4, and @catf7sacramento. Thanks also to our speakers Chief Larry Collins and @michael_ellis_school. Follow @hdsearchdogfund for announcement of 2026 dates soon!

Thank you to my decoys and mentors – I most definitely wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you and I appreciate you all so much.
I love my French ring family, PUPPOS GUAPOS!! Thank you for welcoming me into the club, thank you for all that you do, your encouragement, coaching, and your support. I’m so happy to be a FR convert. I can’t wait to see what all of us can accomplish!!
Nick – Congratulations to you and Ippo on 1st place for ring 2 cup and passing your level 2 decoy certification. You killed it. I’m so excited for you as a decoy and handler.
Of course thank you to Copper State Ring Club for hosting an amazing event. Huge Thanks to judge Jean-Marc Barriol and trial decoys Phil Ryder and Jerome Martinez.

Trip du Loups du Soleil earned his Mondioring 3 title yesterday with a score of 386/400. He is a fabulous dog! All his Mondioring titles were achieved in one year starting with his sociability test on 9/18/20 and completing his MR3 on 9/18/2021. He won 1st place in all his trials except the USMRA Nationals where he finished second. Thank you Michael Ellis for breeding this wonderful dog! Trip’s brother Monk and sister Tanzy are also MR3s.
Debra Parker-Hawkins, I wish it was YOU titling your best boy. Everyone attending felt your presence during a very emotional MR3 trial routine. You are loved and missed my dear friend.
Saju (from the DD litter) has earned many titles and has won a lot of classes in the last few years. He’s a wonderful working partner! After a back injury stopped Saju from participating in protection sports after his CSAU, we tried other sports. Some highlights:
- multiple HITs in AKC and CDSP obedience trials in Novice and Open, including two 200 scores
- ranked 1st in the nation in CDSP Starter novice, 2nd in the nation in CDSP Novice Obedience and 9th in the nation in CDSP Open Obedience, with only 3 trials per level
- NW3-Elite, winning 3rd Place Overall in 2 trials
- ARCHX (WCRL All Rally Excellent Championship) – MANY perfect scores along the way
- TKP (AKC Trick Dog Performer title)
- RA (AKC Rally Advanced title)
- WCRL Rally Champion titles at Level 1 and Level 2
- Winning the majority of his classes in AKC Obedience, CDSP Obedience, AKC Rally, and WCRL Rally trials
- Winning the Award of Excellence at all 3 WCRL Rally levels
- Only 2 legs (of 15) short of earning his PSD Overall “Scent Dog Excellent” title (SDE)
