Idole & David – World Vice Champions

2016-10-03 by David Broderick Leave a Comment

On the podium!

On the podium!

Well I can’t believe I’m writing this, Idole and I are World Vice Champions! I have to start by thanking Todd Dunlap, for his friendship, guidance, mentoring, dedication to us and countless hours in the suit! I am beyond thankful that I have been able to learn from such an incredible trainer, decoy and person! I would not be here without him. Thank you Todd!
Todd, David & Idole

David, Idole & Todd

To Tiffany for the countless hours I spend outside training, the amount of time I am away traveling and training, you are always willing to help me train her, along with all of your support! Thank you babe!

Thank you mommy for getting me addicted to dogs and driving me 3 hours each week to dog training classes when I was 12 years old. It is because of your love and support that I got into dog training. Also to my family for your love and support over the years!

To Sean, your commitment to us is beyond what I can explain. Anything I ever need you are already there to offer your help! Handling my dogs, taking time away from your family to help with this crazy sport, late night and long days preparing for trials, I honestly can’t thank you enough!

LauraAnn! You always go above and beyond for us. Even in a sport you don’t compete in. You are still there for us! You always want the best for us and I appreciate you so much for always being there for us!

Michael Ellis, Chad Hunter, Tommy Verschueren, John E. Lugo, Fernando Dosta, Zack Kiser, Joshua McCleary, Scott Warner, Spencer Bowman, for working with Idole and letting her bite you, for teaching her different moves, techniques, training her, and building her up! Thank you!

My “I” litter family! I love you guys and thank you for all of your support over the past 4 years! RIP Deb!

There are so many more involved in making this happen! The decoys that have gotten in the suit for her! My club back home, Utah Protection Sports! Thank you guys! #utahprotectionsports Our friends running horns, setting up scenarios, giving advice, being distractions!

Huge thank you to Philip/Bettina and Jos/Marleen for welcoming us to train at your fields here in Belgium and being the most incredible hosts. Also for the endless knowledge you share with us!

Michael Ellis! Thank you for this girl! She is everything I wanted and more! She never stops trying! #loupsdusoleil

Thank you to the judges and decoys for a hard but fun trial! Many new things were shown this weekend! Thank you!

And huge thanks to everyone that came over to support team USA over here in Belgium! It was a fun trip!

So many people were involved in Idole’s performance! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Team USA!!

Repo 5th at the Worlds!

2016-10-02 by ShawnReed Leave a Comment

What a great weekend! Like always Repo gave it his all! We scored very nicely at world’s placing 5th out of 50. We lost the search portion on the escorting, some in OB and 10 for slow outing (dog likes to bite ?). We’ll be back next year to try and improve on this years performance. I love Repo! What a fun dog to work and very entertaining for the spectators.

Thank you to my parents(Eileen Hickey Reed), Todd Dunlap and West Penn Ring Club! And everyone else who had helped us! It takes a village!

– Shawn

Habbit MR2 and Second Place!

2015-05-05 by sam Leave a Comment

Congratulations to Elissa Cline and Habbit du Loups du Soleil, who earned their MR2 title at the 2015 USMRA Nationals with a SECOND PLACE and score of 264.5! Super accomplishment Elissa and Habbit!

Elissa writes: ” …it is cool that habbit was kind enough to me to pick the correct scented wood, to climb over the 2.1 palisade, to clear the 1.2m hurdle and he ‘freakin’ did a blind sendaway! bite the decoy and not the handler (haha) and came back to me when i recalled him instead of return to any person that he chances sees on his return. overall a good day. Oscar Mora got some meters on him in the escort but dang it was fun to see him do such an amazing job at it and i loved that i didn’t have to give him away at the gate (haha)”
