These Energetic Canines Break World Records

Inde, a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois, broke the world record for dog diving, leaping 33 feet, 10 inches, at the Purina Pro Plan® Incredible Dog Challenge® National Finals on Sept. 27. The former record-holder was Inde’s friend and fellow opponent at the challenge, 6-year-old Belgian Malinois, Vhoebe, whose record was a jump of 32 feet, 3 inches.
Many of the participating dogs wore GoPro cameras attached to their collars, so you can see the races from their eyes (be sure to check out some of the footage in the video below).
TheBlot Magazine caught up separately with Inde’s and Vhoebe’s doggie “moms” about the event and what it’s like living with these record-breaking, four-legged athletes.

ONE GIANT LEAP FOR CANINE: Local dog in World Cup event
In May, Michon Mills and her Belgian Malinois, India, competed in the Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge Western Regional Championships where India won with a jump of 31 feet, 10 inches, the fourth longest jump in the 17-year history of the event.
India’s jump was 5 inches short of breaking the World Record.
It’s those accomplishments that reminds Carson City’s Mills how far her dog has come within the past 2 years and how well they do as a team.

Renee and Cody earn first leg of MR1
Renee and Cody earned the first leg of their MR1 with a (drum roll) 198.5!!!! at the Santa Clarita Mondioring Club trial. Congratulations on a job well done.
Izann MR1
Congratulations to Izann and Aida for earning their MR1!!!! They earned the first leg Saturday with a 196 and High in Trial at the at Santa Clarita Mondio Club in Oxnard. On Sunday they completed their title with a 193.
Aida writes: “So many people who supported along the way, thank you all. Let me thank Michael Ellis for giving me the dog that would take me on this incredible journey and steal my heart along the way, Fernando Dosta who started us on a journey of learning that built our confidence, his patience and timing with Izann was incredible. Then Kevin Bain should us how to have fun while learning. Jimmy Vanhove then came into our lives and took Izann to a whole new level of strength. Gentlemen we would not be here without you and I am forever grateful. I look forward to continuing the journey. My ‘sisters’ Debra Parker-Hawkins, Maya Conrad, Patti Phillips, Michon Mills I luv you for all the support you give. My brothers OJ and Tate for their support. Kiwi is 2! She celebrated in style with a birthday ice-cream cone and some new yard balls to play bumper ball with. Kaboom didn’t get any ice cream cones or party but he will get to bite a decoy today. : )

Redwood Alchemy Dogsports hosted the “Finding Bigfoot” Mondioring trial in the heart of the redwoods and Bigfoot country in coastal Northern California. On the podium were Elissa and Habbit who completed their MR1, Michon and Princess Inde, and Anastasia & Cobalt. Congratulations to all!
